Tyreke Evans is the best player that might slip out the lottery. Why is he so much better than Stephen Curry, Jeff Teague, and all of the other tweener PG/SGs who have to play the 1 at the next level? Because he doesn't have to play the 1!What's better is that he is a very good/underrated passer for a 2 guard and can get into the lane at will. He can put up points in a hurry from anywhere on the court, is freakishly athletic, and has all the intangibles you look for in an NBA player. He may be the most NBA ready 2 guard in this draft (yes DeMar, you need some time to develop...think 3 years time) so what's the downside?
Well he plays kinda like a retard. Ever since his AAU days he has been known for jacking up random shots from every spot on the court. He has also been ridiculed for his selfish play quite often.
Here's a normal Tyreke fast break. Tyreke steals the ball and breaks down the court with two teammates. There's one defender and I guess Tyreke is thinking "whatever, my teammates blow anyway, IM GOING FOR IT" so he takes it to the hole and misses it or makes it. Always a toss up.
The big thing about these flaws is that he can be taught to change them quite easily. All he needs is time and some good coaching. Like the kind of coaching at Memphis that focuses on unselfish play?
